Review for
THE CURIOUS MOON

Translated by:
Paul Sohar

In this delightful tale, the moon decides that she would like to know what it would be like to be on earth. Down she goes, lading in a muddy brook. Yuck! Poor moon, what is to become of her? Will the earth be all that she expects it to be or will the moon wish she had never left the sky, and how will the world survive without a moon?

This is a story that is chock full of imagination and fun. What a great concept to write a tale about what would happen if the moon left the sky, and how people would relate to a moon on the earth. What would you do if you found the moon? I loved the illustrations; my favorite was the little bare foot lady carrying the moon in her apron. How cute is that? The author did such a good job bringing the children, trees, animals, and the townspeople into the story making them all an important part. Not only is this a fun tale, but it is one that shows the strength of unity and friendship. Very nice read.
