“Harley, what was it?” she asked her husband.

The old man lifted his head and spoke softly.

“Raven Mockers,” he said. “Storm saw them and they flew away.” He dropped his head back to the pillow. “Abigail, the boy saw them.”

Storm’s Grandmother looked at her Grandson and back at her husband. She gently took Storm by the shoulders.

“Grandson, what did you see?”

Storm didn’t know where to begin. He stammered for a moment and sat down in the chair by the bed. He bowed his head.

“Two old people, a man and a woman.” He looked up. “They weren’t wearing any clothes.”

“Where did they go?” his Grandmother asked.

Storm pointed toward the window.

“They turned into birds and flew out the window.”
