The Evil Pencinell hovered in the air above Gittel. This would be an excellent young person to steal and take back to the dark side, she thought. The fullness of her large wings slowed almost to a stop as she floated over the young girl.

Gittel walked happily along the path singing to herself. She swung the charm in her hand, holding it loosely with her fingers. By accident, she dropped it and reached down to pick it up.

"Now!" the Evil Pencinell shrieked, as she threw her wings wide and swooped down to capture the pretty young girl.

Before Gittel could pick up her charm, two strong, bony hands grabbed her. The next thing she knew, she was being swept off the ground into the air!
