From For the Love of Ruby...
This wasn’t the first time Ruby had thought about the pressures put upon a recently widowed woman. She knew her emotional state of mind would be like a roller coaster. An unexpected and abrupt end to a mistake of a marriage, providing the opportunity to think happy thoughts, was bound to cause guilt. Somehow it seemed completely logical. Illogical was the desire for that woman to want revenge on the murderer of a husband she’d grown to despise, and had never honestly loved.
Ruby could have laughed at the stupidity of that woman, had she not been staring at her in the bathroom mirror.
