After preparing her table, Samantha skipped and ran down to her nip fields to pick the best nip bits to accompany her morning milk. As she strolled through the fields, enjoying the warm morning sun and blue sky, suddenly she noticed something was askew in the fields. The crops looked far too thin. As she neared closer, she realized that not one stalk of catnip remained from the night before! My, oh my, what could have possibly happened? Just yesterday she harvested a huge bale for the Cat Haven and everyone commented on how fresh and tasty the new nip had grown. But here and now, Samantha could not locate any nip at all!

Enraged, Samantha sulkily made her way back to her cathouse. She must have some morning milk and ponder this new problem. Most likely, she thought, another meeting of the Cat Haven would be in order to seek information and advice from the other sage kittens.
