From The Castor System...
"Granny, Granny," yelled Beaner. "Are you okay?"
Granny took a couple seconds to adjust to dry land and gave a thumbs-up. "I should have kept my big mouth shut. I'd gladly trade flying circles right now for this. Oh, dang-it-all!"
"What?"
"I forgot to get out a Mayday call."
"Don't worry, rookie. They don't give me the big bucks for nothing. I got one out with the survival radio on the way down. The whole Airwing will be scrambling to launch a rescue soon."
Just as Beaner finished speaking, Granny took one step and let out a scream. Granny fell to the ground rolling in pain, holding his left leg. Beaner rushed over to see what happened. He pushed away some the leaves that hid a wire. Granny had tripped a booby trap, causing a metal spike to pierce his calf. Granny was bleeding badly. Beaner could not figure out what a trap like that was for especially in a dense rainforest. "Oh, Geez," said Beaner. As Granny rolled and moaned in pain, Beaner looked up: the forest had come alive with a dozen peasants who surrounded the two downed aviators.
