More About A Bridge at Concord...

Recently married John Fitch, a Concord Minuteman is called to duty when word is received that the British Regulars are marching to Concord from Boston to destroy military supplies. After the brief encounter of the British column with the Lexington Minutemen, he is among the minutemen that confront Captain Laurie and his 114 man unit at the North Bridge. The Minutemen stop them at the bridge, forcing them to retreat.
John becomes one of the many Minutemen snipers who harass the British column as they struggle to march the 18 miles to Cambridge. Using guerrilla tactics, the Minutemen fought an ungentlemanly war unlike that of the British. Small groups of Patriots sniped at the column as it moved along Battle Road. Snipers like Fitch took a toll of officers, crippling their leadership.
The British finally encamp at Bunker Hill, awaiting assistance from General Gates. The story of what the British Regulars endured is told through the eyes of John Fitch.
