Night Terrors: A Collection of Short Stories
For me, writing is an outlet, a means of releasing pent-up emotions and giving my imagination full reign to express itself.
My earliest attempts at creative writing began at about age eleven, when I found my mom’s old manual typewriter (yes, I said “manual” typewriter) and began to “two-finger” type dialogue and describe scenes from my favorite movies. Remembering actors’ lines word-for-word was not a problem since back in the “old days” (late sixties/early seventies) you could spend an entire afternoon in a theater watching a movie replay for under a dollar!
By my mid-to-late teens, I began to write my own fictional stories, most of which were inspired by some pretty vivid nightmares! It’s amazing what the subconscious can think up!
What’s resulted is a collection of short stories that run the gamut of suspense/mystery, horror/thriller, and psychic/supernatural themes. These genres have always appealed to me for their shock value. Not only do I greatly enjoy being scared and “kept in the dark” until a story’s conclusion, but I also wish the same for my readers.
