Ann Marie Powers-Vance, 44, was born in Boston, but raised in the Seattle area. A graduate of Western Washington University, she wrote for a small Seattle magazine, reviewing theater, before becoming a full time Mom and part-time writer. According to His Deeds is her debut novel.

Married for 19 years, she and her husband, Chris have two children, Adam, 15, and Natalie, 10, and live in Auburn, Washington, a suburb of Seattle.
