Roy L. Pickering Jr. was born in St. Thomas, USVI and now resides in Maplewood, NJ. His website (www.roypickering.net) features a generous sampling of his prolific short story writing. His fiction has appeared in a number of anthologies, including Proverbs for the People, (Kensington Books), The Game: Short Stories about the Life (Triple Crown Publications), Role Call (Third World Press), and Prose to Be Read Aloud, Volume I.

Roy is seeking publication of his completed debut novel, Patches of Grey, while keeping his pen moving on a second novel. Fatherhood has inspired to him to also take a shot at writing a children’s book that is being illustrated by his artist wife, Erin Rogers Pickering, who designed the cover for Feeding the Squirrels.
