As an animal lover, Ruth V. Horwitz has written a series of children’s stories regarding cats and their interaction with other animals in a fictional world. The emphasis in these stories is conflict resolution without violence. It is the author’s view that children can be taught to reside peacefully with others by the examples set in her series, The Catnip Capers.

She has enjoyed a diversified career including a background in accounting, real estate management, recruiting and the writing of short stories.

Ruth currently resides in Chicago, Illinois with her husband, Howard, who inspired and assisted her with The Catnip Capers series.
