Hexmistress's Apprentice
For most of his career, David Van Doorn has been a freelance technical author and editor, producing mainly Operation and Maintenance manuals for a wide variety of engineering applications, from oil and gas installations through to nuclear power stations. During this period, he’s also found time to pen quite a lot of fiction, as well as editing various periodicals such as Tradition, concerned with British traditions and customs, and Spiritualist/New Age magazine, Eternal Spirit.
He’s currently employed in a college of further education located on the eastern edge of London, helping young people with learning difficulties.
As well as writing, David gets his kicks from Morris Dancing. He plays a variety of musical instruments including Medieval English bagpipes, which he also makes.
David has one other published novel, a fantasy: The Wyvern’s Egg.
