In recent years, Tom Calarco has developed a reputation as a national expert on the Underground Railroad. He has had four books about the legendary network published, with a fifth in progress. Few realize, however, that his real love and forte as a writer is fantasy. Hi-doh Hi-dee Ha-Ha is a representation of this very personal fantasy world.
A native of Schenectady, New York, Tom has been writing professionally for 25 years. Much of his writing has been in the field of journalism and he continues to freelance, writing for antiques publications and history journals, in addition to his books. He has a wide variety of interests including classical music and basketball, and just about anything under the sun that has the quality of mystery and the unknown about it. This feeds his writing appetite, and like most writers he has a number of projects in the oven.
